For The Record 1.6.0.2 released!

I just posted a maintenance release of version 1.6.0 of For The Record.

This release fixes some small issues, and supports MP 1.2.2 out of the box now.

BETA with next-generation Web Access coming soon

We are wrapping up a last few things in the next-generation Web Access of For The Record. And so we are very close to a BETA release now!

Version 1.6.0.1 of For The Record and Argus was released. This is a maintenance release with several small fixes and enhancements. And with support for MediaPortal 1.2 final.

Version 1.6.0.0 of For The Record and Argus will be released on may 25th. This is major release with primarily RTSP streaming support but at the same time alot of other enhancements. To get an overview of the changeset, please take a look at the forum.

Building bridges

Hi,

During the last months, right after releasing our own recorder/tuner Argus, we have put some effort in building some additional bridges towards our platform to be used by other applications. To us, the exposure of our functionality towards other applications is very important.
We wanted to build bridges that are easy to take, since we realized that the API we provided from the beginning wasn't really moving developers.

For The Record 1.5.0.2 released!

Version 1.5.0.2 of For The Record and Argus has been released. This is a maintenance release with a bunch of small fixes and enhancements. And with support for MediaPortal 1.1 final. Here is the short list of implemented changes since 1.5.0.1:

  • Added a new REST api for Android/iPhone/XBMC/...
  • Added support TeVii and Twinhan cards.
  • Improved IM-Bot commands.
  • Some small improvements to the MediaPortal client.
  • Several other small fixes and tweaks (see forum).

For The Record 1.5.0.1 released

Version 1.5.0.1 of For The Record and Argus has been released. This is a maintenance release with a very strong focus on improving the Live Tv experience. Here is the short list of implemented changes since 1.5.0.0:

  • Improved live TV.
  • Added support for E-AC3 and Dolby Digital Plus.
  • Built in auto-restart of the Argus windows service in case of an exception during initialization.
  • Some management console improvements
  • Scanning will now start/stop the graph to improve reliability.
  • Added extra settings to the CardHost config.

For The Record 1.5.0.0 with Argus, released!

Version 1.5 of For The Record has been released.

The main focus of this release was to add our own implementation of what we like to think of as a rock-solid recorder/tuner solution: code-named Argus.

We announced the release of this version on the 1st of May a few weeks ago, and we're making good on that promise! :-)
